Ever since I can remember I’ve been fascinated by brightly coloured images of far flung places. At 16 I enrolled to study photography at Yale School of Art, and eventually graduated from Falmouth University with an honours degree in Photographic Communication and a PQE in Photographic Business & Copyright Law.

Following my studies I worked as a freelance photographer, and in 2004 I travelled to Central America to undertake voluntary work with Save the Children; conveying medical supplies for a local eye clinic & building houses in remote rural communities. After returning to the UK the following year I was fortunate enough to land a job as a photographer in one of Europe’s top portrait studios, where I was privileged to photograph literally thousands of people from every walk of life.

In 2008 I was recruited as the principle in-house photographer for Thomas Cook. As well as photographing hotels & holiday destinations all over the world, I had responsibility for all commercial imagery, commissioning freelancers, high-end image retouching and digital content management for both print and web. With a huge amount of input into developing the look & feel of the Thomas Cook brand portfolio, I oversaw image acquisition for over 20 separate publications as well as for websites achieving an incredible 68 million unique impressions per month.

In 2014 I got the opportunity to take the helm of the academic photography specialists Lafayette UK, one of the oldest photographic companies in the world. Having successfully completed a challenging business turnaround, I left Lafayette in 2017 & moved to the UK's south coast in order to take charge of all things photographic for global cruise giant Carnival UK, where I am currently responsible for photography operations across all 11 ships in both the P&O and Cunard fleets.

I am an enthusiastic student of change management, specifically within photography businesses & across a number of sectors. As a capable leader I bring energy and passion to a project, and as such I am able to inspire positive change within any organisation.

Although no longer a jobbing photographer, my passion for brightly coloured images of far flung places endures, and hopefully this is evident in the photographs on this site. I’m always interested in new projects, so if there is any way I might help contribute to your success - I’d love to hear from you.
